Surgical Specialties
Dr. Brady is board-certified in general surgery. She performs adjustable gastric banding (Lap-Band and Realize Band) and sleeve gastrectomy surgery to treat morbid obesity, and she frequently serves as the second surgeon on gastric bypass cases. 

Dr. Brady has a strong interest in endocrine surgery, including thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal procedures. Since completing her endocrine surgery fellowship in Germany, she has been performing many advanced endocrine procedures in Austin, including minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Using a much smaller incision, these new procedures result in a significantly smaller scar and less pain than traditional surgery. Dr. Brady also focuses on advanced laparoscopic procedures and on the surgical treatment of cancer, including cancer of the breast, head and neck, and colon.

Education and Professional Associations
After graduating with honors from the University of Texas-Houston Medical School, Dr. Brady completed her General Surgery Residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Brady then practiced with Capital Surgeons Group and Southwest Bariatric Surgeons for a while before embarking on her Fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at Marburg University Medical Center in Germany. She earned her B.A. with honors in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Brady is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Texas Medical Association, a member of the Travis County Medical Society, and a member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).


Biography
An Austin native, Dr. Brady enjoys taking advantage of our area's outdoor activities by waterskiing, swimming, and running. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and son.
